The Mysterious Case of the Red Trash Can: A Sims 4 Custom Content Conundrum

Are you tired of creating custom content for The Sims 4 only to have it not function as intended? If so, you're in good company. I've been having a frustrating experience with my red trash can, and I'm hoping that by sharing my story, I'll be able to get some much-needed help from the community.

Problem A: Texture Issues

I started by retexturing a trash can from Get Together, which seemed like a simple enough task. However, when I uploaded my new textures, they were either too transparent or didn't look quite right. After redoing them and saving them as DDS files, I thought I was good to go. But alas, the issue persisted.

Problem B: Glass Roofing Recoloring

I also attempted to recolor some of the glass roofing that came with a recent update. Using a window texture from Get Together in Photoshop, I created a cool stained glass effect. However, when I uploaded my new textures, they didn't seem to be working as intended.
